Been a minute since I’ve shared any updates. Still doing my overlanding – though not as frequently as I’d like due to my schedule, but I have been working with several clients recently and TCL Team Boxing League is one that has started to gain some traction. It’s a company that is disrupting the space of boxing. A sport that I am not particularly fond of because of the “inside” look I was able to see during my time at Top Rank Boxing, however… this company is looking to refresh the sport. The River at Rancho Mirage
A recap of 2018's marketing effort at The River. This includes all events and sponsorship/activation's.
Switching gears from digital media to marketing requires you to change your perspective on engagement. The experience that can be provided within a digital campaign is much more challenging when you’re trying to provide an experience in real-life. Having said that… this project was extremely rewarding and exciting as many of the activation’s I created resulted in high engagement from our guests. The investment in time and quality of each activation created a presence that was visible from the guests the visited The River, but also reflected in the tenants that participated in these events. The city was a major partner in the success of these events… they allowed certain activation’s to be executed under my direction and both parties were happy.
Seeing the potential of The River unfold during the 2018 campaign helped me better understand how to market to a variety of guests and brands. Tying that knowledge into my digital background has proven to improve what I do as a digital marketing consultant. Looking forward to continuing this effort for 2019!

Tesla Activation at The River at Rancho Mirage. Client wanted to have an auto presence at their venue and Tesla wanted an organic approach to collect data from guests that fit their demographic.
Kicking off summer with Andy Grammer for the guests at The River in Rancho Mirage was both fun and satisfying. Being able to bring in a quality musician of Grammer’s caliber to our amphitheatre completed the vision that was set for entertainment at The River. Having partners like Alpha Media work with our venue to co-host this event displays that building the right relationships can be mutually beneficial. The unique experience that we brought to The River was proof in the crowd that gathered 3 hours before the 7pm performance in triple digit weather on a MONDAY! More to come! I’m just getting warmed up!

Creating events at The River in Rancho Mirage has been the main focus as I assumed the role of Marketing Director. Event driven campaigns provide long term brand recognition and establishes an experience that consumers will share with others. The participation of our local tenants was a key factor in the success of this event. There was an amazing turnout and it helped kick off our Spring season at The River.
